Participants will learn how to use fresh flowers and plants to create unique fabric art pieces by transferring natural dyes onto specially prepared fabric using a hammering technique. Each participant will create a fabric tote, bucket hat or bandana to take home. This class is recommended for ages 13+. This class will cover flower pounding basics, fabric preparation, and tips for choosing the best seasonal plants and flowers. Driver's EdDrivers EdStudents will receive a total of 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. The classroom portion consists of ten, three-hour classes and the behind-the-wheel portion is three, two-hour private lessons (scheduled through Safeway). Driver's Ed OnlineDrivers EdSelf-Paced, Online Driver’s Education Class – Columbia Heights Community Education Experience the flexibility of learning at your own pace with Safeway Driving School’s Self-Paced, Online Driver’s Education program, offered in partnership with Columbia Heights Community Education. Designed for today’s busy students, this state-approved course provides the same comprehensive 30-hour curriculum as traditional in-person classes but allows students to complete their coursework independently through an engaging, user-friendly online learning portal. Key Details Self-Paced Learning:Complete the 30-hour course on your own schedule, working up to 3 hours per day. The program can be finished in as little as 10 days or extended over the full 6-month enrollment period. Lessons must be completed sequentially to ensure a structured learning experience. Online Access:Classes are available online 24/7, Monday through Sunday, offering complete flexibility to fit into your schedule. Required Technology:Students will need an iPad, laptop, or similar device to access the course materials. Safeway Driving School will email login credentials and setup instructions to both the student and parent/guardian (if applicable).Please make sure both email addresses are on file and checked regularly. Package Information:Enrollment in the course includes the required behind-the-wheel lessons. Students have one year from the final date of their classroom session or their 15th birthday (whichever comes later) to complete their six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.
