Pickling is an ancient technique for preserving food for a long period of time! With this basic pickling recipe, you will learn how to prepare a variety of vegetables! Join CHPS Agriculture Specialist, Melissa Trent, in harvesting fresh vegetables from our school garden and pickling them. You will make and take a 12 oz jar of vegetables of your choice including radishes, beets, cucumbers, beans or carrots. You will also learn about different herbs and spices that can change the taste of your pickled veggies.This class will take place in Blooming Heights Garden, located behind the CHPS Family Center. *Please note: each card transaction will incur a processing fee of 3.29% of total amount plus $0.39. Learn about icing consistencies, mixing colors, and how to practice piping and flooding. Then decorate a curated set of beautiful cookies that you will bring home and enjoy!
